Janice, My memories of your dad go back to Scott's Creek as a kid when I'd run thru your house and Joe would slow me down to show me the violin. It was Joe who encouraged me to bring my "fiddle" to church and play on Sunday mornings with him. He wasn't concerned that my playing was pretty bad; he was thrilled that I had a passion for the instrument and the beauty of the music-at least coming from his violin or viola! And, Joe worked really hard to get me to hold my bow correctly-which I'm still working on! Your dad was a maestro; a mentor; a caring, kind and humble man. He was so very proud of you, Janice, both as a wonderful daughter, and as a maestro in your own profession. My life has been blessed by Joe, by his God-given talent, and by his love for the Lord and for others. I was deeply touched by the Celebration of Life for Joe; it was truly a tribute to his life as a father, friend and musician. I miss him. My prayers are with you and your family. Love, Carol Evangelo Rowe
