Mary Virginia Belli, 86, passed away on July 20, 2010. She was born in Waltham, Massachusetts but lived in Portsmouth, Virginia, which she considered her home, for the last 50 years. She was a former voting registrar for the city of Portsmouth.
Mrs. Belli was predeceased by her husband, William Frank Belli and her son, John M. Dempsey. She is survived by her daughter, Christine A. Gavan and her husband, John C. Gavan; 6 sisters; a brother; numerous nieces and nephews; a special friend, Kris Anderson and her caregiver, Jean Dillard.
A private family graveside service will be held in Olive Branch Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice. All arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home in Churchland
